Trainings

The Office offers trainings on best practices for working with whistleblowers. House offices may also request private sessions for any size group. Use the dropdowns below to learn more.

Best Practices Training (General and Private)

Congressional offices need the tools to work safely and effectively with whistleblowers, from the initial screening stage to conducting oversight. Our foundational Best Practices for Working with Whistleblowers training covers how to: 1) Manage relationships with whistleblowers; 2) Establish an effective case management system; 3) Protect whistleblower information; and 4) Navigate the legal landscape.

Working with Whistleblowers Workshop

This two part program offers a customized, in-depth learning experience. It combines the office's Best Practices training followed by a hands-on roleplay portion through which staff can practice working through a fictional whistleblower case. Great for delegations, retreats, or offices wanting to add on to their private Best Practices for Working with Whistleblowers training experience.
